Bell’s Black Note Hitting Distribution

Bell's Black Note

According to this picture from Bell’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts, the sought after Black Note Stout has made the switch from 750mL corked and caged bottles to 4-packs. Even better, the beer “will start shipping to other areas this week,” as stated in this post.

The brewery has remained quiet about specific quantities and distribution areas, only commenting with “Yes – but limited” in regards to questions about further details.

This announcement also comes just a couple weeks after the last 750mL bottle release at the General Store (1534 bottles), which went down the weekend before Christmas according to a recent BeerAdvocate thread.

Black Note is available NOW in the brewery’s General Store for $23 per 4-pack.

Commercial description from Bell’s:

“One of the most sought-after stouts in Bell’s history, Black Note Stout blends the complex aromatics of Expedition Stout with the velvety smooth texture of Double Cream Stout and ages the combination in freshly retired oak bourbon barrels for months. The resulting harmony of flavors captures the finest features of all three components: malty notes of dark chocolate, espresso & dried fruits, all buoyed by the warmth and fragrance of the bourbon barrel. Aimed squarely at the stout and bourbon aficionados, Black Note makes a grand statement about the art of the dark.”
