Town Hall Barrel-Aged Beer Week

The 2013 installment of Town Hall’s Barrel-Aged Beer Week is nearly upon us, hitting the brewery from February 18-25. Tickets for growlers will be on sale at 11am on February 10, which are REQUIRED to purchase each of the barrel-aged beers available throughout the week.

Town Hall hasn’t released a complete list yet, but here’s what’s been confirmed so far:

  • Czar Jack – bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout
  • Buffalo Bock – weizenbock aged in Buffalo Trace barrels
  • Double Barrel Jack Frost – double barrel-aged imperial stout
  • Grand Cru – aged in wine barrels with cherries (new for 2013)

The 2012 release saw Town Hall make the move from traditional growlers to wax-dipped 750mL bottles, which experienced a variety of infection issues. Rumor has it the brewery is going back to 64oz growlers, but this hasn’t been confirmed (note – 750’s in MN are still referred to as “growlers” so don’t be fooled by the verbiage).

Keep tabs on the brewery’s event page and Facebook for more details.

Town Hall Brewery is located at 1430 Washington Ave. S in Minneapolis.
