Weyerbacher Riserva ’12 Release

riserva-label-no-warning

More barrel-aged beers coming out of Easton PA this week, as Weyerbacher readies the latest issue of their raspberry sour, Riserva. Known for being incredibly lactic with a vinous, oaky fruit flair, this boozy wild ale (topping out at 11.4% abv) comes out annually with limited distribution throughout the brewery’s footprint.

Joining Riserva will be the final beer in the Brewers’ Select NATO Alphabet Series, Zulu (berliner weisse), along with this year’s batch of Heresy (bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout).

All 3 beers will be available for purchase (no more case requirements so go crazy with mixing and matching) from 10 am – 330 pm on Saturday, March 23 at the brewery. While these will hit distribution (Zulu bottles only at the brewery, draft will be available at select bars), the event is a great excuse to check out the facilities, especially if you haven’t seen the new cellar and equipment.

Weyerbacher Brewing Company is located at 905-G Line Street in Easton.
