Rescheduled Hill Farmstead Bottle Release Dates

While inclimate weather forced Hill Farmstead to postpone their May 26 bottle release following their anniversary celebration, the brewery has just announced new plans for a makeup date. Out of towners might be a bit out of luck on this one though, as each of the 3 beers will be released individually on staggered dates throughout June.

EDIT 6/4 – Hill Farmstead has changed the schedule, updated information below.

The details:

  • June 5: Elaborative #1. 375mL, $15, limit 2 per person. Prolegomena. 375mL, $15, limit 1 per person
  • June 26: Madness and Civilization #1. 500mL, $15, limit 2 per person. AND EITHER Madness and Civilization #2 (375mL, $15, limit 1) OR Civil Disobedience #6 (375mL, $10, limit 2).

Commercial descriptions:

Elaborative #1: Tart brown ale brewed with Ohio walnuts. Aged 18 months in a variety of oak barrels… in friendship with Brad at Jackie O’s and Chad at Crooked Stave. Brewed in November 2011.

Prolegomena: Flander’s Style Red Ale aged in wine and port barrels… in friendship with Will Meyers from Cambridge Brewing Company. Brewed in April of 2011.

Madness and Civilization #1: A special blend of various bourbon barrel-aged imperial stouts and imperial porters.

Madness and Civilization #2: From a single bourbon barrel having held a unique blend of 6 different threads for more than 16 months.

Civil Disobedience #6 : A blend of wine barrel aged and wild versions of Sankt Hans, Clara, Flora, and Juicy.
