First Bottle Release at Jester King Craft Brewery: Viking Metal
Tomorrow is a momentous occasion for Jester King Craft Brewery in Austin, TX as they will officially open as a brewpub. What does this mean for you? Starting Saturday, August 17 at noon, patrons will officially be able to purchase bottles of Jester King beer to go, a privilege only recently made possible by changes in Texas legislature this past June. Check out the full statement from the brewery here.
Jester King will ring in their new brewpub status with the first bottles of Viking Metal, a Swedish-inspired farmhouse ale aged in Old Tom gin barrels with wild yeast. Less than 100 cases will be available, so don’t sleep on this one.
Next up will be Atrial Rubicite, an oak barrel-aged wild ale re-fermented with raspberries, packaged in 500mL bottles (a departure from their typical 750mL format), coming in at 5.8% ABV. Jester King plans to announce the release date for this shortly.
Congrats to the brewery on another positive achievement for craft beer drinkers in Texas. Jester King Craft Brewery is located at 13005 Fitzhugh Road Bldg. B in Austin.
