Surly Wet Fresh Hop IPA Returns September 16

Surly Wet CansSummer is coming to a close, signaling the beginning of another exciting season of fresh hop ales! As the piercing blast of a starting gun jolts everyone out of their summer haze, brewers rush to acquire the freshest hops of the harvest season to create unique beers such as Surly Wet.

One of the most popular and buzzworthy beers of the season, Wet is an explosively juicy and citrusy West coast IPA with 10 pounds of hops per barrel, coming in at 7.5% ABV. This year’s version utilizes 1200 pounds of fresh hops (800# Cascade and 400# Centennial) shipped from the vines of Hop Head Farms in Michigan to Minnesota’s Surly Brewing in just 15 hours.

Look for Wet to hit liquor stores and bars starting on Monday, September 16 (maybe even online if you know where to find it). Surly also posted some great pictures for you to marinate on in the meantime here.
