Jester King Aurelian Lure Coming for Austin Beer Week

Jester King Aurelian LureAurelian Lure is the next wild ale coming out of Austin’s Jester King Brewery, slated to join Omniscience & Proselytism and Nocturn Chrysalis for debut during the 3rd annual Funk n’ Sour Fest on Sunday, October 27 during Austin Beer Week. This next installment in the brewery’s continuous experimentation with refermenting fruit in oak barrels filled with mature sour beer will feature apricots, coming in at 5.4% ABV.

Jester King has stayed extraordinarily busy in 2013, utilizing raspberries from Washington, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and Merlot grapes from Texas, and Tempranillo grapes and apricots from California to create a host of new sour ales. The brewery also hopes to eventually referment fruit with some spontaneously fermented ale from their own coolship.
