Captain Lawrence Frost Monster Debuts Nov. 27

Captain Lawrence Frost Monster labelIt felt like it had been a little while since we heard anything from Captain Lawrence…until they announced the debut of Frost Monster on Wednesday, November 28 at 4pm. Originally a pilot beer, brewers decided to take this burly 12% ABV imperial stout and send it into rum barrels for an extended nap.

The details:

  • Bottles debut at the tasting room from 4-8pm
  • $20 per 750mL bottle
  • Limit 4 per person

Commercial description:

Deep and dark as a cold winter night… The Frost Monster is lurking. This beast of an ale started out as a pilot batch concept by packaging line veteran Justin Perrone. Thinking of his own monster (dog) “Frost” he wanted to make a beer that had intense flavor, aroma and strength. Working with Brewmaster Scott Vaccaro and Head Brewer Scott Tobin they came up with an Imperial Stout only befitting its title. Brewed with a massive amount of malt to give it the rich, roasted and smokey flavors expected of such an ale. Black in color with a head as white as the beast itself. Drink it this winter or lay some down for winters to come.

Captain Lawrence Brewing Co is located at 444 Saw Mill River Rd. in Elmsford.
