Cascade Cerise Nouveau and Bourbonic Plague Bottle Releases

Cascade-Cerise-Nouveau Cascade-Bourbonic-PlagueMore news on the wild ale front this morning – Cascade Brewing will be releasing another pair of barrel-aged sours this month, featuring Cerise Nouveau and The Bourbonic Plague.

The details: 

  • Thursday, December 12: Cerise Nouveau
  • $25 per 750mL bottle, limit 6 per person
  • Thursday, December 19: The Bourbonic Plague
  • $30 per 750mL bottle, limit 4 per person

Both beers will ONLY be available at the Cascade Barrel House and Raccoon Lodge – NO online sales this time around.

Commercial descriptions:

Cerise Nouveau is a NW style sour red ale is the Beaujolais Nouveau of cherry beers. It’s a blend of red ales aged in oak barrels for up to eight months, then aged on fresh Bing cherries for an additional three months. It’s best consumed now through the holidays with friends!

The Bourbonic Plague is a NW style sour ale is a blend of spiced double porters that were aged in Bourbon and wine barrels for 18 months before aging on dates and spices for up to an additional 12 months.

Cascade Barrel House is located at 939 SE Belmont St in Portland.
