The Rare Barrel SKUs Me Bottles Available Feb. 8

The-Rare-Barrel-SKUs-MeBeen waiting for a chance to try California’s The Rare Barrel? This Saturday, February 8 at 2pm is your next shot, as a tiny run of SKUs Me bottles will be on sale. This is a sour golden ale aged in oak barrels.

The details:

  • $20 per 750mL bottle
  • Limit 1 per person, per day
  • About 200 bottles available
  • In the event of poor weather, the brewery will open up the tasting room early so people can wait inside

The Rare Barrel first started making noise (with something other than their name) by announcing their own exclusive reserve society, Founder’s Club back in October. This all-sour, all barrel-aged brewery is headed up by Jay Goodwin, former Brewer and Head of Barrel-Aging at The Bruery.

Commercial description:

”SKUs me, is there any room on this shelf for another new brewery? There is? Great!!“ SKUs Me, which is our very first blend, was fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and Lactobacillus bacteria and aged in oak barrels. This moderately tart golden sour beer has notes of lemon zest and hay.

The Rare Barrel is located at 940 Parker Street in Berkeley, CA. Check them out here.
