Flossmoor Station Pre-Dark Lord Day Party and Bottle Release Apr. 25

Flossmoor-Station-BrewingBefore the wildly unnecessary late-night bottle sharing preceding the Dark Lord Day festivities (read: chaos) begins, Flossmoor Station Brewing Company is once again inviting everyone to kick off the weekend with their annual Pre-DLD party on Friday, April 25 at 4pm. As per usual, expect live music, limited beers, food and a special bottle release to commemorate the occasion.

The 2014 pre-party will feature TWO bottles – Barrel-Aged Big Poppa Imperial Porter and Barrel-Aged No. 4 Barleywine.

The details:

  • Bottle sales begin at 5pm
  • $15 per 22oz bottle
  • Bottle limit TBA
  • Special seasonal beers available on tap (outside only)

Commercial descriptions:

Big Poppa Imperial Porter – We imperialized a robust porter by giving it a high starting gravity, making it higher in alcohol. To balance its sweetness we increased the hops, as well. The end result is a big beer with loads of chocolate in the flavor and aroma. 10% ABV

No. 4 Barleywine – Brewed in collaboration with Flossmoor’s original brewmaster, Todd Ashman, No.4 is the latest in a series of our ongoing tradition of Barleywine greatness. Old Conundrum, Wooden Hell and Hi-Fi Rye are the first three in the great series. No. 4 is a unique blend of malt, wheat and rye reinforced with raw sugar. Hopped heavily with Warrior and Apollo with Cascade, Centennial and Columbus in supporting roles. 10.1% ABV

Flossmoor Station Brewing Company is located at 1035 Sterling Ave in Flossmoor, IL.
