Westbrook Mexican Cake 2014 Bottle Release May 23

Westbrook Mexican CakeMay = Mexican Cake at Westbrook Brewing Company! The brewery’s original anniversary beer is back for a 3rd time, slated to drop on Friday, May 23 at 4pm. This pepper-infused imperial stout causes a stir every year, so expect to see the South Carolina fans coming out in droves for this one. Not to worry though – in case you miss the bottle release, Mexican Cake will still hit distribution in 2014.

The details:

  • $12 per 220z bottle
  • Limit 1 case per person
  • Distribution will begin “next week at a later time”

For all of you clamoring for more Barrel-Aged Mexican Cake, the brewery revealed they are doing some barrel sampling in the beginning of June and “hopefully [they] can nail a date down then.” The release didn’t go down until July last summer.

Commercial description:

Happy birthday to us! To celebrate our first year as a brewery we brewed a serious imperial stout and aged it on cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, and fresh habanero peppers. This was the first offering in our annual Anniversary series. It was so delicious we decided to bring it back each May! 10.5% ABV

Westbrook Brewing Company is located at 510 Ridge Rd in Mt Pleasant, SC.
