Investigating the uncommon, unusual, and rare within the craft beer community.

About

Welcome to Beer Served Rare, a journey through the uncommon, unusual, and rare beers which continually elate and frustrate the craft beer community on a daily basis. Of course, not everything featured here will be white whales of obscene scarcity, but rather a collection of fun information on both popular and sometimes tough to find beers, new releases and events which spur conversation and occasional controversy week in and week out. Whether it’s barrel aged, blended, sour, collaborated, or just flat out strange, I’m interested. Comments, questions, and thoughts are always encouraged, so crack open a beer and enjoy.

Fascinating info. A lot of breweries that I’ve never heard of. Would be great, tho, if you could put the town on the first page of email.
    Cheers!

A new unopened bottle of Liquid Swords broke free from the bottom of the bag over our driveway… Disastrous !!! These beers, while bought on vacation this summer, were being dropped (.no pun intended) at a friends house who is going to drive them to their final destination in Indian Land, SC., where my son is eagerly waiting their arrival. Is there anyway to ship a replacement bottle to his work place – Hendricks BMW in Charlotte NC?
