The Dissident is an Oud Bruin, a distinctive Flanders-style sour brown ale, with a heavenly aroma and flavor. Our first wild yeast beer, we use Brettanomyces and local cherries to give The Dissident its characteristic sour taste. The words coddled and “worth it” come to mind. 11.4% ABV

Mirror Mirror is a barleywine comprised of 50% aged in wine barrels and 50% fresh ale, weighing in at 11% ABV.

Deschutes-Class-of-88-BelgianDeschutes Brewery is all set to wrap up their collaboration series this month with the third and final installment, Class of ’88 Belgian Style Ale. Similar to the Class of ’88 Barleywine and Imperial Smoked Porter, the Belgian Style Ale is another high gravity beer at 10.1% ABV, although this one spent some time resting in Muscat oak barrels. Look for this in limited 22oz bottles and draft beginning on December 12.

Commercial description:

Enjoy this barrel-aged tribute to the Class of ’88! In this third and final creation of our collaborations with other breweries celebrating 25 years in the business, we’ve partnered with Goose Island Beer Company to bring you a complex Belgian-Style Ale with Reisling Juice from Michigan, Pinot Noir Grapes from Oregon and 100% barrel-aging in Muscat oak barrels. On the nose is a sweet oak characteristic and on the tongue; a dry and slightly tart flavor with an oak boldness from 10 years of Muscat wine that aged in the barrels.
